Awakened Self

Awakened Self offers online courses, retreats, and 1:1 sessions. These are digital and experiential services rather than physical products, so standard return terms do not apply. Please read the section relevant to what you are booking before you purchase.

By completing a purchase, you confirm you have read and accepted this policy.

1. Online courses

Our courses are delivered in different ways, so different terms apply. Please check which describes the course you are enrolling in — this is stated on each course page.

Live courses

Courses taught entirely through live sessions, with no pre-recorded content.

Places are limited and teaching is scheduled in advance, so cancellation depends on the notice you give:

Missing a live session does not entitle you to a refund. Where recordings of live sessions are made available, they are provided as a courtesy and are not guaranteed.

Where a course includes certification, manuals, or fees payable to a third-party certifying body, those amounts are non-refundable once issued or paid on your behalf.

Courses combining recorded content with live sessions

Courses that open a library of recorded video and audio at enrolment, alongside live sessions held on scheduled dates.

Because the recorded material is delivered in full when you enrol, the course fee is treated as two parts:

• a recorded content portion, delivered at enrolment

• a live teaching portion, delivered on the scheduled dates

The split between the two differs from course to course and is stated on each course page and in your enrolment confirmation.

Once you have logged in to the course portal, the recorded portion is considered delivered and is not refundable. The live teaching portion may still be refunded according to the notice periods above.

If you have enrolled but not yet logged in, contact us within 7 days of purchase and we will refund you in full.

Fully self-paced courses

Content is accessible immediately upon purchase. Once access has been granted, refunds are not available. If you have purchased but not yet accessed the content, contact us and we will refund you in full.

Enrolments are personal to you and may not be shared, resold, or transferred to another person.

2. Retreats

Retreat costs are committed to venues, accommodation, and local partners well in advance, and most of these commitments cannot be recovered. Refund eligibility therefore depends on how far in advance you cancel.

The specific cancellation terms for each retreat, including the deposit amount and the notice periods that apply, are set out on that retreat's booking page and in your booking confirmation. Please review them before you pay.

Deposits are non-refundable.

Travel insurance. We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance covering cancellation, medical costs, and disruption. Awakened Self is not responsible for flights, visas, independently booked accommodation, or any other cost incurred outside the retreat fee.

3. If you can no longer attend a retreat

Please contact us as early as possible. Depending on timing and the terms of that retreat, we may be able to arrange a credit or a transfer to a future retreat. These arrangements are made case by case and offered at our discretion, rather than as a right under this policy.

Where circumstances are serious, such as illness, injury, or bereavement, please tell us. Supporting documentation may be requested.

4. Live programs

Applies to any multi-month program with scheduled group or 1:1 components.

Places in these programs are limited, and enrolling reserves both a place in the cohort and dedicated 1:1 time. Once a program has commenced, fees are non-refundable, and any remaining instalments under a payment plan remain payable.

If you need to withdraw before a program begins, please contact us. A transfer to the next intake may be possible depending on timing.

Where a program is paid by instalments, Section 6 also applies.

5. 1:1 sessions and Clarity Calls

• Sessions may be rescheduled at no charge with at least 48 hours' notice.

• Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice, and missed sessions, are charged in full, as the time has been reserved for you.

• Prepaid session packages are valid for 12 months from purchase.

6. Payment plans

Where a course, program, or retreat is paid by instalments, you are committing to the full fee. The instalment arrangement is a way of spreading that payment, not a subscription that can be stopped part-way.

This means:

• If you choose to withdraw after a course, program, or retreat has commenced, your remaining installments are not cancelled. The balance remains payable on the original schedule.

• Refunds under this policy apply to the amount you have paid for the offering, not to the installment schedule itself.

• Where you have signed a separate payment plan agreement, the terms of that agreement apply to your enrolment.

• Access to materials depends on payments remaining current. If an instalment is missed and not resolved within 14 days, access may be suspended until the account is brought up to date.

• Suspension does not reduce the remaining balance. We reserve the right to recover outstanding amounts, including reasonable recovery costs.

If you are having difficulty with payments, please contact us before missing an instalment. We would far rather find a workable arrangement with you than pursue an outstanding balance.

Nothing in this section limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

7. If we cancel

If Awakened Self cancels a course, retreat, program, or session, you may choose either a full refund of amounts paid to us for that offering, or a credit towards a future date.

Where a retreat is cancelled, our liability is limited to the retreat fee paid to us. We are not able to reimburse flights, independently booked accommodation, visas, insurance, or other third-party costs.

8. Outcomes

This work supports personal insight and change, but results depend on many factors, including your own participation. We do not guarantee any specific outcome, and refunds are not available on the basis that a course, retreat, or session did not produce a particular result.

Nothing in this section limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

9. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in this policy is intended to limit or exclude those rights.

If a service is not supplied with due care and skill, or is not fit for a purpose we agreed to, you may be entitled to a remedy including a refund. Please contact us and we will work with you to resolve it.

10. Customers outside Australia

Some countries give consumers a cooling-off right on purchases made online. Where that applies to you, the following also applies.

Recorded content. By enrolling and accessing recorded material, you expressly consent to it being delivered immediately, and acknowledge that any cooling-off right over that content ends at that point. If you have not accessed it, your cooling-off right remains available.

Live sessions, courses, programs, and retreats. These are services scheduled for specific dates, and the cancellation terms set out above apply.

11. How to request a refund

Contact us through our [contact page] or at hello@awakened-self.com, with your order details and the reason for your request.

We will respond within 5 business days. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 10 business days. Your bank or card issuer may take additional time to post the funds.

12. Payment disputes

If you have a concern, please contact us first so we can resolve it directly. Initiating a chargeback without contacting us may result in access to courses and programs being suspended while the dispute is investigated.
